Celebrating Longevity: Rohit Patel and his journey at BM Catalysts

When Rohit first joined, he was drawn by the opportunity to move from factor level into manufacturing. “Enjoying the job is the main reason I’m still here,” Rohit reflects.

“You can walk round the premises and still see people who were here when I first started.”

That sense of continuity speaks volumes – not just about Rohit’s loyalty, but about the wider culture at BM Catalysts, where many long-serving employees have built fulfilling careers over decades.

Over the best part of two decades, Rohit has seen major changes across the business. “The growth has been huge,” he says.

“Export was a small part of the business but now contributes nearly 60% of turnover. That growth has driven investment back into the business to keep us ahead of the competition.”

Rohit’s role has alongside the company. “In the early days, it was all about developing new business.

“Now, with strong UK distribution in place, the focus is more on retaining business and becoming more self-sufficient,” he added.

Rohit says: “Being recognised by my customers as someone they can trust and rely on has been the most rewarding part of my career at BM Catalysts so far.”

As a leader in the aftermarket, BM Catalysts values the importance of standing out amongst competitors, Rohit is clear in how this is possible: “It’s a family-run business, and individuals are recognised in a way they wouldn’t be in a larger company.
